The Foundation of Light, the football club's official charity, has introduced a new weekly challenge for everyone to get involved in, to keep the north east active and healthy, as the nation moves indoors as a result of COVID-19.
Each week, the Foundation will share a set of football skill challenges on its social channels, with each video featuring the award-winning charity’s top tips from its highly skilled and experienced coaches.
This week, there are two challenges – The Slalom and Press Ups - both feature three levels so that all ages and abilities can take part in the activity.
Nick Lander, Football Development Officer said: “We all know how tough it is at the moment. With schools closing and youngsters spending long periods indoors, our aim to encourage everyone to still try and take part in some exercise but to also learn and have fun.
“Our new weekly challenges are designed to bring a bit of football fun to every household and get all the family moving and staying healthy.”
