New book: The Absolute Record

Sunderland AFC: The Absolute Record is now available to pre-order, with the definitive history of the club set to be published later this year.

Complied by Club Historian Rob Mason and Black Cats experts Mike Gibson and Barry Jackson – the team that brought you ‘Sunderland: The Complete Record’ in 2012 – the absolute edition brings the SAFC story up to date, including the curtailed 2019-20 campaign.

The foreword is written by Lads legend Niall Quinn and Brendan O’Donnell, the great-great-grandson of the club’s esteemed founder, James Allan.

Chronicling every detail since the club’s formation in 1879, each season will be featured across two pages, including line-ups, captains, scorers, debuts, league standings and much more.

A range of 'top tens' are also included along with comprehensive details of the club's managers, overseas tours, record signings and much more, with no stone left unturned.

Research for the book has also unearthed details of a new player who featured for the Black Cats more than a century ago, and who has not been included in any previous history of the club.

Spread across 400 pages in A4-format, the book is the most comprehensive record of Sunderland AFC ever produced and is not to be missed!

To order your copy, simply visit www.safctheabsoluterecord.co.uk.

If you order before 31 August, it can be personalised and feature the name of the person it is for included within the book, which is priced at £30 plus postage and packaging.

The first 100 books ordered will be personally signed by a Sunderland legend and include a personalised and numbered frontispiece.
