Supporter Gary Chapman had a night to remember at the Stadium of Light thanks to club partner, SAFC Pools.
The lifelong Sunderland fan and his nephew, Scott, won the chance to take in the clash with Doncaster Rovers from the Montgomery Suite.
The prize was a latest giveaway from SAFC Pools, who offer hundreds of prizes each month – from trips to Barcelona, cars and cash.
Ahead of the game, Gary and Scott enjoyed a tour of the SoL and a three-course meal.
Following the full-time whistle, the pair got to meet club legend Jimmy Montgomery, who presented them with a signed SAFC shirt and then they also got to see the Man of the Match presentations.
“As a lifelong Sunderland fan, it was a fantastic night, it’s a shame we didn't win, but a point will do.” a delighted Gary explained.
“We got the chance to speak to Denver [Hume] after he got his Man of the Match award and when Jimmy came over and said that he had a present for, we really weren’t expecting it!”
