Coming to Town: Stewart Donald gifts 100 tickets

Stewart Donald has thrown his support behind Sunderland AFC’s Gift of Football initiative by donating 100 tickets to the supporter-inspired campaign.

With the festive season upon us, SAFC fans are once again spreading the festive cheer after relaunching the heart-warming campaign that saw over 1,650 tickets gifted in 2018.

Season card holder Simon Baty kickstarted record-breaking initiative on Friday, with floods of supporters following suit by gifting tickets for the club’s Boxing Day fixture against Bolton Wanderers.

And with 2019 set to be even bigger and better, Donald has doubled his contribution by donating 100 tickets to the city-wide cause.

SAFC’s chairman said: “I was overwhelmed by the incredible generosity displayed by the Sunderland family in 2018, so I’m once again proud to be supporting such a spirited cause.

“For many people within our community, Christmas can be a challenging time, so as a football club, it’s vital that we understand the important role that we can play in supporting those who support us.

“Over the next month, SAFC will be backing various charities in order to tackle the real issues facing our city, and I look forward to seeing our supporters once again demonstrate why they are the best in the land.

“From donating tickets to helping us raise awareness, everybody has a part to play no matter how small, because together, we can make a real difference to many this Christmas.”
