Sunderland AFC’s Carabao Cup tie at Sheffield United will take place on Wednesday 25 September.
The third-round tie will be held at Bramall Lane and kick-off at 7.45pm.
Jack Ross’ side have advanced in the League Cup with two successive 3-1 wins on the road, defeating Accrington Stanley in round one before knocking out Premier League opponents Burnley last Wednesday.
Chris Wilder’s Blades, meanwhile, saw off Championship club Blackburn Rovers 2-1 to seal their passage through to the next round.
