Jordan Willis netted his first goal for the Lads in style when kickstarted Sunderland’s fight back in the win over Portsmouth this past weekend.
The big defender was all smiles after the full-time whistle and so were his kit sponsors, who had picked Saturday’s early kick-off as the game to meet Jordan, the player they have chosen to sponsor for the 2019-20 campaign.
Barry Pollock and his guests from ‘The Works’ a local digital marketing and creative agency, caught up with Jordan after the game, where they were able to chat about his goal and he also presented Barry with his shirt.
The company, which is based in Bowes Business Park, Chester-le-Street are regulars at the Stadium of Light as they are also members of the club’s networking group SAFC In Business.
“The day couldn’t have gone much better,” Barry explained.
“Great hospitality, Jordan scoring his first goal and being named Man of the Match in the Lads’ first league win of the season.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring Jordan this season and helping to support the club.”
