Victoria Park: Pools to pay tribute to Cooper

Hartlepool United and Sunderland AFC will come together on Saturday to pay tribute to Neale Cooper.

The Scot, who managed Pools on two occasions, sadly passed away at the age of 54 on 28 May 2018.

Ahead of kick-off, the clubs will come together as the Mill House Stand is renamed the Neale Cooper Stand, sponsored by East Durham College.

A minute’s applause will also take place ahead of the game and tributes will be read out, as flowers are laid in front of the stand by representatives from the club.

Neale’s daughters, Amy and Ellie, will also be at the game.

Supporters attending the fixture are asked to take their places in the stadium ahead of the ceremony, which is expected to start at around 2.45pm.
