Kick off the New Year with a bang by signing your company up to the Sunderland AFC In Business Football League at the Beacon of Light!
Supported by SAFC's In Business Club, games will be played on the Beacon's fantastic outdoor 3G pitches every Thursday and open to teams of all footballing abilities.
A dedicated League Manager, FA qualified referees and Sports Assistants will be on hand to ensure the action stays competitive but friendly.
To give teams the opportunity to scout the opposition, the Beacon of Light will be running a pre-season tournament on Thursday 10th January (from 6.30pm) with four weeks free play OR a set of strips up for grabs for the winners, with the league launching the following week.
Steph Turton, who will be managing the league, said: "We're delighted to announce the launch of our new SAFC In Business Football League.
"It a fantastic opportunity for people to get active and healthy, promoting wellbeing in the workplace and playing in world class facilities at the Beacon of Light.
"And our professional staff and referees will ensure a fantastic experience for all the players."
Tony Davison, Sunderland AFC Managing Director, added: "The new SAFC In Business Football League will bring together organisations on a regular basis in a fun but competitive environment while providing networking opportunities.
"The competition fits perfectly with our vision for In Business of reconnecting with businesses across Wearside. Plus, with all proceeds going to Foundation of Light, players will be demonstrating their commitment to supporting their local communities."
The SAFC In Business League Tournament entry fee is JUST £60 per squad of eight players and then £30 per week for the In Business League, with all proceeds going to Foundation of Light, the official charity of Sunderland AFC.
You don’t have to be an In Business Club member to get involved, although the referee might look on you more favourably if you are!
Also, don’t worry if you don’t think you can pull together a full squad – even if there is only one or two of you, get in touch and we will match you with other players to make a dream team!
