Sunderland supporters have been getting in the festive spirit by helping those less fortunate over the festive period.
In an idea originally suggested on social media by supporter Simon Baty, fans have been encouraging each other to buy tickets for the Boxing Day game against Bradford City and donate them back to the club.
To date almost 1,300 tickets have been donated, with Foundation of Light, the official charity of Sunderland AFC, distributing the tickets to individuals and groups who they work closely with, who may not otherwise have been able to attend the game.
In order to ensure that there is sufficient time to distribute the tickets, the deadline for supporters to get involved is 5pm on Wednesday 19 December. Supporters who wish to join in and have not yet done so can buy tickets online at https://websales.safc.com/
