Second edition: Tales from the Red and Whites Live

The much anticipated second volume of Tales from the Red & Whites will be launched with a live event at the Stadium of Light on Friday 17 November, and you're invited to be part of what's sure to be a great night of fond memories and laughter.

A host of Sunderland legends will appear on stage throughout the night - including Stan Anderson, Tony Towers, Martin Scott, Darren Holloway, Stephen and Shaun Elliott, Vic Halom, Gordon Armstrong and John MacPhail, who have chapters in the book.

There will also be special guests from the first edition of the book which included chapters from Gary Rowell, Gary Bennett and Jimmy Montgomery plus other former teammates and footballing friends thanks to the support of the Sunderland former players association.

The night, which will be hosted by lifelong Sunderland fan Phil Hourigan, kicks off at 7:30pm in Quinn's Bar.

Tickets are just £20 and will include a copy of the new book - a chance to get it personally signed by the cast and a welcome drink can be purchased here.

The new book is edited by Lance Hardy, Graeme Anderson and Rob Mason who've spent many months compiling and interviewing a Sunderland AFC XI that has something for everyone.

The players in the book span a period of six decades: from the days of Len Shackleton to Roy Keane. There are many stories of promotions, relegations, Cup runs, friendships, fall outs and much more. There is plenty for Sunderland fans to reminisce about, but there is also a lot to learn as well, with more than a few exclusives along the way.

Players from the book will also be taking part in a signing session in the club store on the Saturday prior to the Millwall home match.
