Vacancy: Assistant Producer/Editor

Reporting to the Assistant Head of Digital, the post is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week, and based at Black Cat House. Additionally, this post is required to work all home games and special events, plus away games as required.

The successful candidate will join this busy department and will be primarily responsible for supplying video content for use on the club’s website and social media channels.

You will be expected to provide a full production service, from ideas through to filming, editing and final delivery. A team player, the successful candidate will work alongside colleagues to support all areas of the club, ensuring video requirements are met, including commercial and partnerships activity.

These could range from short, snappy social clips to full bespoke projects.

Communication skills are also key, as the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside stakeholders at a variety of levels, from football staff to representatives of club partners and beyond.

They will be passionate about the power of video and constantly look to improve the quality of the club’s output.

You will be required to develop new and exciting ideas for online video content to drive engagement and increase audience, be responsible for the club’s video archive and expanding such, assist with the delivery of bespoke programming and exercise editorial judgement regarding content.

The successful candidate will ideally have some experience within the sporting environment with a passion for football and excellent knowledge of the game. An ability to showcase significant experience of filming live events, editing interviews and features is essential, plus experience of editing sporting footage/match highlights would be advantageous.

Advanced knowledge of the Adobe video suite is essential, including Premiere and After Effects, and of colour grading and post-production. The candidate should have experience of leading complex video projects from start to finish (concept/storyboarding to final delivery), with good knowledge of camera equipment, specifically the Sony FS7 and EX3.

A full driving licence with own transport is preferred but not essential. Working in football is demanding and candidates should relish working under pressure and to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute straight away in a fast-paced environment.
