The home of Sunderland AFC will once again play host to the popular Summer Rumble boxing event.
The event, on Sunday 16th July, will see some of the region’s best fighters go toe-to-toe and is always a highly-ancipated occasion.
This year, Sunderland’s Glen Foot will defend the English super lightweight title against Akeem Brown having beaten Philip Bowes to take the glory last time out.
Brown is unbeaten in eight contests to date, so the headline fight promises to be unmissable.
Meanwhile, Thornley’s Darren Surtees defends his Northern Area super lightweight title against Anthony Hardy of Horden.
In addition to the headliners, more of the region’s best talent will also be on show.
Tickets for the event (doors 12 noon) are priced at £35 for general seating or £800 for a box of 10 guests.
