Supporters visiting the Stadium of Light on matchdays can once again enjoy the fantastic outdoor Fan Zone.
A great addition to the matchday experience, the Fan Zone features bar and food outlets, local music talent, radio roadshows, a giant screen playing match highlights and classic games, along with a range of interactive activities, competitions and appearances from former and current players.
Open three hours before kick-off and for an hour after final whistle, the area provides a relaxed environment for fans to soak up the matchday atmosphere and meet with fellow supporters
Ahead of the first home game of the new 2016-17 Premier League season, fans will be able to enjoy live music from local band Para Alta.
The five-piece hail from Hartlepool and have been performing together since meeting at school, they are due to release their first single in early 2017, make sure you catch them in the Fan Zone!
Added to the packed programme of entertainment, there is a great range of food and drink options, with the introduction of several new ranges and special offers for the season ahead. Highlights include a special for the Middlesbrough game of parmo chicken and chips, along with a selection of gourmet burgers, pies and wraps There are also vegetarian options and children’s menu choices available.
The stadium concourses will also feature a range of new products such as a Bovril Chicken Wrap along with old favourites such as the famous chicken balti pie - turnstiles open from 12noon ahead of Sunday’s game for fans wishing to try out the new products.

The Fan Zone will be open from 10.30am until kick-off and then will reopen after the game, when fans will be able to take part in a special post-match giveaway!
