Interview: Timur Tuterov ready to go following injury spell

Under-21 forward, Timur Tuterov has admitted he is "excited and ready" at the prospect of getting more minutes under his belt this weekend following a return from injury.

The U21s are set to take on Reading in Premier League 2 action at Bearwood Park.

"I have had a succession of different injuries", Tuterov explained.

"It's always hard when you are on the sidelines but I have been focused on getting back to full fitness."

Despite a spell on the sidelines, the 18-year-old grabbed his first Ukraine U19 cap in November, scoring on his debut against Malta.

"I want to be fit and playing for both my club and country.

"I want to be ready to take my opportunity when it comes and I have continued to work hard in training to earn my place in the team."

Tuterov made his return in the recent Premier League cup fixture against Bristol City, appearing as a second-half substitute.

"I was delighted to return, it is a moment I have thought about for a long time.

"It can be very frustrating watching from afar but when I can see the Lads doing well, it gives me more motivation to return and be involved in the success."

Graeme Murty's side currently sit eighth in the PL2 and will look to make it three league wins on the bounce with victory in Berkshire.

"I see in training everyday how hard the team is working. The hard work has shown in the results.

"You can see the enjoyment in the team and we find ourselves in a very good position.

"We know Reading will be another tough test but we are confident and ready to return home with all three points."
