Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce that Henry Fieldson has signed his first professional contract with the Club.
Fieldson has put pen-to-paper on fresh terms that will see his remain with the Club's Academy until the summer of 2024.
The 17-year-old defender has been a regular fixture with the Under-18's but has also made several Premier League 2 appearances. Fieldson has amassed 59 appearances and scored two goals during his time in the youth ranks.
Academy manager Robin Nicholls said: "We are delighted that Henry has signed his first professional contract with the club. He is a solid defender who displays attributes of a real leader for the group. We are happy that he will be continuing his journey here at the club and would like to credit himself, his family and the many SAFC staff who have played a part in his journey over the years."
The player’s contract will officially start on 1 July 2023.
