Sunderland AFC can confirm that six players from the club’s Under-23 squad will depart when their contracts expire on June 30.
Brandon Taylor and Jake Hackett are among those to leave the club having risen through the Academy, with Lee Connelly also being released after spending the 2020-21 season on loan at Alloa Athletic.
Mitch Curry departs having signed a contract in the US with Inter Miami CF, from whom he is currently on loan at Fort Lauderdale CF.
Ryan Wombwell has left Wearside to sign for Gateshead as a free agent, with fellow defender Bobby Beaumont also leaving the club upon expiry of his contract.
