Jordan Hunter has extended his loan at South Shields until the end of the season after an impressive start at Mariners Park.
The 19-year-old defender signed an initial one-month loan deal and has since established himself as a first-team regular.
Hunter has contributed to the Mariners impressive defensive record and has scored once in 15 appearances.
Speaking to southshields.co.uk, Mariners boss Graham Fenton expressed his delight at securing the services of Hunter for the full campaign.
“Everyone at the club is over the moon we’ve managed to secure an extension of Jordan’s loan until the end of the season,” he said.
“It’s safe to say that Jordan’s performances have definitely warranted us acquiring his services for an extended period and I know he’s quickly become a fans’ favourite here.
