Sunderland under-23s will travel to Everton this Saturday for their last 16 Premier League Cup tie.
Taking place at Southport FC, kick-off 2pm, the Black Cats go up against the Toffees for the place in the quarter-finals.
Elliott Dickman’s side booked their place in the knockout stages after finishing second in group A, behind Stoke City.
Collecting 12 points from six matches, Sunderland won four of their group matches as only the Potters managed to get the better of them both home and away.
Everton, meanwhile, topped group B undefeated and with 14 points from a possible 18.
