Sunderland under-23s will face Blackburn Rovers in the quarter-final of the Premier League Cup should they get past Everton.
The Black Cats’ last 16 trip to face the Toffees on Saturday was postponed due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in the game being rearranged for Friday 29 March, kick-off 7pm.
The game will be played at the same venue – Southport FC’s Merseyrail Community Stadium.
However, should Elliott Dickman’s side defeat the Premier League 2 leaders then they will be faced with a home tie against Blackburn Rovers.
Further details will be confirmed in due course should the Lads advance into the next round.
