Sunderland AFC has confirmed a host of new scholarships for the 2019-20 campaign.
Thirteen players have put pen to paper on a two-year deal in Paul Bryson’s youth team, joining as first-year scholars for their inaugural year at the Academy of Light.
The new intake of scholars are; Patrick Almond, Jack Armstrong, Joshua Baggs, Oliver Basey, Ryan Bruce, McKenzie Dicicco, James Foster, Ryan Gooch, Dan Jones, Jonathan Krakue, Ellis Taylor, Louis Watts and Ryan Wombwell.
Speaking about the new arrivals, under-18 lead coach Bryson said: “We’ve got a good group of new players coming into our side this summer. They all have great attitudes and that will stand them in good stead for the challenges we will face this season.”
