Sunderland under-23s take on Charlton Athletic tonight in their opening Premier League Cup tie.
Elliott Dickman has made a host of changes to his side, with 16-year-old Dan Neil making his first start following his debut against Aston Villa last Monday.
Max Johnstone comes in for Anthony Patterson at the back while Jack Connolly also starts in midfielder, replacing Adam Bale who drops to the bench.
