Luke Molyneux has signed a new deal at Sunderland AFC.
The forward has agreed a new contract until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Molyneux made his first-team debut on the final day of the 2017-18 campaign, starting in a 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light.
Born in Durham, the 20-year-old was raised in Bishop Auckland and signed for the Lads at under-16 level.
After putting pen to paper, Molyneux said: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract with the club, and hopefully I can show what I can do this season and step up to the first team.
“It was an easy decision to make because I want to be at this club.”
