Bali Mumba started for Sunderland under-23s against Wolves today in the Premier League 2.
The 17-year-old midfielder features from the off alongside fellow first-year scholar Dan Neil, who has become a regular in Elliott Dickman’s side this season.
Anthony Patterson is named between the posts after featuring on the first-team bench against Walsall and Barnsley recently, with Jack Bainbridge and Jack Diamond also in the line-up.
Andrew Nelson has also been handed is first under-23s start of the season after recovering from injury.
