Sunderland under-23s’ line-up this evening has included Armenian international Gael Andonian.
The 23-year-old, former Marseille player, has been on trial at the club for the past few weeks following a six-month loan spell at Veroia.
Andonian, who plies his trade in the heart of the defence, has made more than 20 appearances for his country.
Elsewhere, Luke Molyneux features in the development team’s forward line alongside Benji Kimpioka and Lee Connelly.
Anthony Patterson replaces Max Johnstone between the posts.
