Sunderland under-23s’ pre-season schedule has been confirmed ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Premier League International Cup finalists last term are currently undergoing a five-day training camp in Austria after reporting back for initial tests last Wednesday.

Following a trip overseas, the Lads will return to action against Sunderland RCA on Monday 10 July at Meadow Park (KO 7pm) before facing Morpeth Town four days later at Craik Park (KO 7pm) and then Blyth Spartans at Croft Park on Tuesday 18 July.
Elliott Dickman’s side will then return to the Academy of Light for a further three friendlies against Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town as they conclude July.
August begins with the Lads’ final pre-season match ahead of their Premier League 2 campaign, and FA Vase Winners South Shields provide the opposition. The young Black Cats will travel to Mariners Park on Wednesday 2 August for a 7.30pm kick-off.
