The dates for Sunderland under-23s Premier League Cup fixtures have been confirmed.
Andy Welsh’s side are in Group B alongside Championship clubs Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers, with the fourth and final group berth taken by Premier League outfit Burnley.
The young Black Cats will start the tournament with a trip to Cardiff City on Friday 30 September before returning to Wearside to host three home games against Rovers, Burnley and the Bluebirds.
Sunderland’s young guns will then round off Group B with two away games at Blackburn and the Clarets in February 2017.
