Established England international Dave Watson spent five years at Roker Park as a formidable centre-back.
Watson initially started out as a striker scoring 15 times in the 1971-72 season before being re-positioned by Bob Stokoe in 1972.
Watson became an integral part of the 1973 FA Cup side that defeated Leeds in the final at Wembley, as well as making 65 appearances in total for his country.
