Mementos of the FA Cup triumph of 1973 are plentiful, but items relating to Sunderland’s most recent FA Cup final are in shorter supply.
This seven-inch vinyl single, and accompanying cassette recording, by fans’ group ‘Roker Rave’ entitled ‘Ain’t No Stopping Us Now’ is a relatively rare item compared to most ‘73 related memorabilia.

As in 1973, Sunderland were a second division side and enjoyed a terrific run which included wins over West Ham, Norwich and most famously Chelsea in a quarter-final replay that featured a brilliantly headed last-minute winner from Gordon Armstrong.
