Club Treasures: George Mulhall's Scotland international shirt

George Mulhall was a fast and furious winger in the 1960s.

During his era, forwards had to put up with vastly more rough treatment from defenders than they do now but Mulhall took none of it.

He dished out as much as he took, often more. George was as hard as nails.

If anyone ‘earned the right to play’ it was Mulhall and boy could he play. Fast and direct, a goalscorer as well as a goal maker, he was immensely popular with team mates and supporters. Mulhall was that rarest of players – a consistent winger.

This Scotland shirt, bearing the number 11 is one of three he wore with pride for his country.
