Club Treasures: George Mulhall's Scotland international cap

All three of George Mulhall’s international caps were won for Scotland against Northern Ireland.

He scored on his international debut in 1959 when he was with Aberdeen and won his other two caps after coming to Sunderland.

He helped Denis Law to score four goals in a 5-1 win in 1962 and also played in a 2-1 defeat the following year when former Sunderland winger Billy Bingham netted for the Irish.

Mulhall’s final two caps came under the management of Ian McColl who later became his manager at Roker Park.
