Q: What inspired you to support Sunderland?

A: The recent history of Sunderland is quite similar to my team in Brazil (América Mineiro). When I watched the movie Sunderland til I die I identified myself, my feelings and my history.

Q: Have you watched Sunderland ‘til I die on Netflix and what did you think of it?

A: Yes, I have. It was amazing. Passionate, without being corny. Very well done!

Q: What time are the Sunderland matches on in Brazil and do you watch them with any other supporters?

A: Usually in the afternoon, between 1pm and 5pm. I can´t watch the game live because it is not broadcasted here. I watch later on YouTube.

Q: What was the first Sunderland match you ever watched? Can you remember the score?

A: As I said, I didn’t watch alive, but later. And yes, I remember the score. I post it on our page, at LinkedIn. I was Sunderland 2 v 2 Accrington Stanley on February 15th 2019.

Q: How long have you been supporting Sunderland for?

A: Since I finished to watch the documentary in January 2019.

Q: Roughly, how many Sunderland fans are there in Brazil that you know of?

A: It is hard to say, we are 210 million people spread over a large country. But I know at least 33 in my town and around.

Q: What are your plans for the Brazil branch?

A: I want to have a space with a large TV, Sunderland flags, and some beers (of course) to watch the games with the other supporters. Having t-shirts to sell would be amazing as well.
