What does the tour include?
The Sunderland Stadium of Light is the magnificent home of Sunderland AFC.
Opened in 1997, it stands majestic on the banks of the River Wear, a stadium worthy of a team that has one of the proudest histories in the game.
Your tour will start in the main reception of the stadium where you will be greeted by your guide.
You will hear about the development of the stadium when we pause on the stairs near the Miners' Banner.
A visit to the Montgomery Suite is the start for looking at the vast corporate facilities that exist within the stadium.
The first view of the interior of the stadium is from the Premier Concourse where you will have the opportunity to take a seat in the Directors' Box and imagine what it's like on match days.
From here all the main features of the stadium can be viewed.
Proceeding to the corporate areas, we take in the Riverview Brassierie and the 54 private executive boxes.
Our tour also takes in Quinn’s Bar, which is full of memorabilia from Sunderland's days at Roker Park, and here you will have time to browse and get some more special photographs as a reminder of your visit.
Moving to the grand marble reception in the West Stand, we view the Thomas Hemy painting which stands nine feet high and 14 feet wide and is the oldest painting of football in the world.
From reception we follow the path taken by the players on a match day leading to the Players' Lounge and the dressing rooms, where you will see the players' shirts hanging on the pegs.
Walking down the tunnel to the sound of Dance of the Knights by Prokofiev, you will emerge into the main arena and be able to sit in the dug-outs - another great photo opportunity.
Visiting the Press Box, you will see where the media operate on match days and a visit to the Press Lounge provides another photo opportunity as you sit in the manager's seat where he is grilled by jornalists post-match.
Don't forget to bring your camera for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take photos on your Stadium of Light tour.
Experience a tour of the home of the Black Cats in the company of 1973 FA Cup-winning goalkeeper Jimmy Montgomery.
The tour includes light refreshments, a personalised certificate and a signed photo of Jimmy Montgomery.
Vouchers are available for the Legends Tour and make a great gift idea.
