Former Sunderland striker now in South Africa.

Former Sunderland striker Benjani is now plying his trade with one of the Black Cats' partner clubs, Bidvest Wits.

The 35-year-old frontman, who has been capped 31 times by Zimbabwe, joined the South African side last summer and has made 14 appearances so far.

The Clever Boys - based in Johannesburg - are currently mid-table in the South African Premier Soccer League with 25 points from 15 games.

Benjani joined Sunderland in February 2010 and made a total of eight appearances for the club.

The striker, who arrived in England from Auxerre in 2002, scored a total of 30 goals in 154 games in England for Portsmouth (two spells), Manchester City and Blackburn in addition to his short time with Sunderland.
