Work praised by Ghanaian High Commissioner.
Sunderland AFC joined a host of businesses and organisations at Invest In Africa’s ‘Invest in Ghana’ breakfast in London last week.
The Black Cats’ commercial director, Gary Hutchinson, attended the event, which brought together some of Africa’s most influential organisations to discuss investment in Ghana.
The Ghanaian High Commissioner, Prof. Kwaku Danso-Boafo, was present and praised the club’s work in the country as well as its partnership with Ghanaian Premier League side Asante Kotoko.
A number of high-profile companies, including General Electric and Vodafone, attended the breakfast, which was hosted by the BBC’s Komla Dumor.
The morning’s keynote speaker was Mrs Mawuena Trebarh, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.
Sunderland are still working alongside Invest In Africa on various investment objectives, helping to break down misconceptions around doing business on the continent.
