Sunderland Association Football Club Current Players

Thomas Robson

Thomas joined Sunderland on a two-year scholarship in summer 2012.

The midfielder came through Darlington’s Centre of Excellence before impressing Sunderland’s coaching staff during trials.

The Stanley-based player made the move north and became a key player in the under-18 side last campaign with only Liam Agnew playing more games.

Robson played 23 times for the young Black Cats and scored his first goal in a 2-0 away win at West Ham.

He also played one league game for the development squad whilst he scored a hat-trick as a Sunderland XI beat Consett 4-1 in a friendly match in May 2013.
