Jassem Sukar

‘Jas’ is a central defender from Hartlepool who brings a physical presence and plenty of pace.

As well as playing in the middle of defence, he can also slot in at left-back when required.

He has been with Sunderland since the under-13 level and began a two-year full-time scholarship with the club in summer 2012.

Jassem made his youth-team debut in 2011-12 as a substitute while still at school.
