Domestic Appointments: Championship Play-Off Final (2010)

Bio: A veteran of seven seasons in the professional game, Andre Marriner is now in his sixth campaign as a member of the PGMO Select Group.

He has gradually seen his workload skew towards the Premier League - indeed, Marriner only took charge of four Football League games last season, all in the Championship.

In addition, he refereed Blackpool's 3-2 win over Cardiff City in the 2010 Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley.

Marriner showed 10 red cards last season, including two in Sunderland's 2-2 draw with West Ham.

He also refereed Sunderland's games at Bolton and Manchester City.
