Originally there were 28 kiosks, with the North Stand extension the Public catering department grew and now caters for 49,000 potential customers at the Stadium of Light, with 37 kiosks covering the three levels of concourse, offering a wide variety of quality hot and cold food along with a selection of alcoholic, non alcoholic and hot drinks.
To ensure a high standard of service is delivered a full time manager is employed along with several full time staff and over 250 part time match day personnel.
In an average football season we have over 700,000 customers through the turnstiles and deliver over 200,000 pints of beer, 40,000 pies and pasties along with 10,000 hot dogs and burgers in a total of 2,850 minutes of service.
