River Wear Derby: Matchday activities

Ahead of Sunderland Women’s game against Durham Women on March 24, here is all the activities that will be happening on matchday.

Tickets for the River Wear Derby are available via the Club’s e-ticketing website by clicking here.

Hetton Centre

The Hetton Centre will be open from 12:30pm with a range of activities taking place inside.

The Bob Paisley bar and function room will be open upstairs, with supporters able to get both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Keira Ramshaw will be doing a Q&A in the function room and will be available to meet supporters and take photos before the match.

A face painter will be in the building for children to get their face painted ahead of the game.

We will have a stall available for a 'design your own flag' or 'design your own shirt' competition, with prizes for the winners.

Build-up to kick-off

Samson and Delilah will be around the ground before the match to meet young supporters and pose for pictures.

Both the Centre Spot Café and the food kiosk behind the stand will be open for supporters to purchase hot and cold food and drinks. These will also be available at half-time.

The Foundation of Light will be bringing their speed cage to Eppleton for supporters to have a go at seeing how hard they can strike the ball.

Flag displays

Due to its recent popularity and success, we are continuing to adorn Eppleton with Red & White flags to give the ground a Sunderland touch.

Grassroots teams will be attending as flag bearers and centre circle wavers, and the stand will have flags there for supporters to wave as the team come out.

Keep an eye out for new additions to our displays around the ground on matchday.

With lots of family fun planned, we'd love to see as many as possible join us at Eppleton to back the Lasses in their title push!
