Tickets: Wear-Tees derby

The Premier League is back and you can secure your seat at Sunderland’s first home match of the 2016-17 season right now!

A brave display on opening day at the Etihad Stadium saw the Black Cats denied a point late on as Manchester City earned a 2-1 win, but there were plenty of positives to be had as Donald Love and Adnan Januzaj made their Sunderland debuts.

Jermain Defoe also became the Premier League’s tenth highest goalscorer of all time, and you can watch the top-flight legend and his team-mates next Sunday in a mouth-watering Wear-Tees derby against Middlesbrough.

Tickets are on sale now with prices starting from £27 for adults and £12 for under 16s. Seats for supporters aged over 65 are available from £23 and just £19 for under 22s.

In the interests of safety, supporters must have a valid Sunderland AFC customer number and purchasing history with the club in order to buy tickets in the home sections for this game.

A limit of six tickets per customer is in place for this game and supporters are reminded that they are responsible for any tickets purchased under their name and customer number, which are then passed on to third parties.

Sunderland’s next home fixture sees them face Everton on Monday 12 September at 8pm, in a repeat of the fixture which saw the Wearsiders secure their Premier League status last season.

Prices for this game start from just £25 for adults, £19 for over 65s and £10 for under 16s.

Tickets are available via the telephone hotline 0871 911 1973, in person from the Stadium of Light ticket office, or online by clicking here.
