Team news: Team news v Manchester City

David Moyes has named an unchanged side in the Premier League for the first time ahead of today’s Super Sunday clash with Manchester City (KO 4pm).

The same side that faced Everton last weekend will take on the Citizens, with Jermain Defoe leading the line while being flanked by Adnan Januzaj and Fabio Borini.

Jordan Pickford retains his place as Vito Mannone is named on the bench, with the Italian back in the squad following illness.

Papy Djilobodji is on the bench – alongside fit-again Jack Rodwell – after serving a four-match ban.

And, as expected, Jan Kirchhoff isn’t included despite returning to training, with the ineligible Jason Denayer, Joleon Lescott and Steven Pienaar also missing out.

Sunderland: Pickford, Jones, Oviedo, Kone, O’Shea, Gibson, Larsson, Ndong, Borini, Januzaj, Defoe.
Substitutes: Mannone, Rodwell, Khazri, Manquillo, Djilobodji, Honeyman, Love.
