Sebastian Coates has signed a permanent deal with Sporting Lisbon.
The defender has been on loan at the with the Primeira Liga club since January 2016 and today they exercised the option to make the deal for the 26-year-old permanent.
The Uruguayan made 32 appearances for the lads during his two spells on Wearside.
