Loan watch: Coates and Buckley feature

Seb Coates – Rio Ave 3-1 Sporting CP

Seb Coates made his sixth start of the season as Sporting CP suffered their first defeat of the campaign at Rio Ave.

The home side raced into a three-goal lead before the break with Tarantini, Helder Guedes and Gil Dias finding the net.

Sporting improved during the second period and pulled one back through Bas Dost with eight minutes remaining, but they remain two points clear at the top after being unable to extend their lead.

Coates also featured in last week’s UEFA Champions League defeat to Real Madrid as late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata denied Sporting.

Will Buckley – Birmingham City 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Will Buckley was a late substitute for Sheffield Wednesday as Birmingham City scored an even later winner at St Andrew’s.

Gary Hooper opened the scoring with just 14 minutes remaining but Clayton Donaldson levelled five minutes later.

And Lukas Jutkiewicz looped an emphatic header into the top corner in the second minute of added time.

Jeremain Lens – Kasimpasa v Fenerbahce

Jeremain Lens will be hoping to feature for Fenerbahce later today when they take on Kasimpasa.

Adam Matthews – Bristol City 1-1 Derby County

Adam Matthews remains sidelined and subsequently missed Bristol City’s 1-1 draw at Derby County.
