Team news: Moyes selects his starting XI

David Moyes has drafted changes ahead of Sunderland’s Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion.

Captain John O’Shea replaces Papy Djilobodji in the centre of defence with Jason Denayer coming in for Patrick van Aanholt - Javier Manquillo retains his place but is expected to switch to the left-back position.

Paddy McNair also starts with Lee Cattermole missing out due on injury, with Duncan Watmore and Wahbi Khazri tasked with supplying lone striker Jermain Defoe.

Jack Rodwell is named on the bench alongside youngsters Donald Love, George Honeyman and Lynden Gooch.

Vito Mannone, Seb Larsson, Fabio Borini, Lee Cattermole, Adnan Januzaj, Steven Pienaar and Victor Anichebe all miss out due to injury.
