Team news: Januzaj returns to training

Adnan Januzaj could return to action when Sunderland face Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday (KO 12.30pm).

The Belgium international hasn’t feature since the Black Cats’ defeat to Crystal Palace in late September, but he has returned to action and is in contention to return should he be deemed ready.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, David Moyes also provided an update on Jason Denayer and Lee Cattermole.

“Adnan Januzaj trained yesterday and he’s going to come in today, so if we think it’s right it might be that we’re able to add him to the squad but we have to wait and see.

“Jason Denayer will train today but it may come just too quick for him.”

He continued: “Apart from that I think everything is as it was.

“I saw Lee Cattermole out running today so hopefully it means he’s on the way back, but he’s had periods where he’s been out running and hasn’t felt so good after it.

“I’ve not had the report on how he’s got on today.”
