John O’Shea – Moldova v Republic of Ireland

John O’Shea could be in line to feature for the Republic of Ireland as they travel to Moldova today in their latest 2018 World Cup qualifier in group D.

Reeling from Thursday’s victory over Georgia, Ireland head to Moldova keen to earn another three points as they look to keep the heat on group-leaders Wales.

Wahbi Khazri – Tunisia v Guinea

After being in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying action during the last international break, Wahbi Khazri has linked up with the Tunisian national squad as they turn their attentions to their World Cup qualification campaign.

With three wins in their last four games, Tunisia will be keen to maintain that form as they take on Guinea today.

Who was in action last night?

Lamine Kone – Ivory Coast 3-1 Mali

Lamine Kone featured for 90 minutes as Ivory Coast moved top of their 2018 World Cup qualification group.

Michel Dussuyer’s side fell behind inside 18 minutes as Sambou Yatabare slotted home for Mali.

However, the visitors' lead lasted just eight minutes as three goals in eight minutes saw the hosts turn the game on its head.

Jonathan Kodjia levelled before Salif Coulibaly put the Ivorian’s in front, Gervinho then sealed all three points shortly after.

Paddy McNair – Northern Ireland 4-0 San Marino

Paddy McNair came off the bench in the 77th minute as Northern Ireland dismantled San Marino, courtesy of two late goals from Kyle Lafferty.

Steven Davis handed Michael O’Neill’s men a first-half lead before San Marino were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Mirko Palazzi early in the second period.

Lafferty then scored twice either side of Jamie Ward’s effort in the 86th minute as Northern Ireland romped through the gears in their group C qualifier.  

Didier Ndong – Gabon 0-0 Morocco

Didier Ndong played 76 minutes as Gabon began their 2018 World Cup qualification with a goalless stalemate at home to Morocco.
