Injury news: O'Shea misses Cherries trip

John O’Shea has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to AFC Bournemouth, but David Moyes is hoping to see Lee Cattermole back in training next week.

The talismanic midfielder has made just two Premier League appearances during the current campaign, with his last outing coming on 24 September against Crystal Palace.

Seb Larsson is yet to feature at all following post-Euro 2016 knee surgery, but like Cattermole he is on the cusp of a return.

“It’s always good to get any of the players back at the moment and two or three are making good progress.

“Seb Larsson is back training and he might have a game in the under-23s – maybe next week as well – and Lee Cattermole is making some progress as well.”

He added: “Hopefully he might start training with us next week so one or two are getting a bit closer to it.

“John O’Shea is obviously not fit [for this weekend].”
