Jermain Defoe is striving for success in the 2016-17 Premier League season after committing his future to Sunderland AFC.
The forward, who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season, extended his contract on Wearside to 2019 on Thursday, and he immediately set his sights on the new campaign.
