Kaboul: The future is bright

Younes Kaboul has hailed the arrival of new manager David Moyes.

The Glaswegian took charge just over a week ago overseeing the club’s pre-season tour of France, and speaking to safc.com Kaboul revealed the future is bright under the new boss.

During the club’s time in Evian they defeated Stade Nyonnais and Dijon FCO while drawing against Montpellier HSC, with the Black Cats unbeaten in pre-season ahead of a final game next Friday against Borussia Dortmund.

And Kaboul is confident the Lads will be ready for their opening-day showdown against Manchester City.

“The most important thing about pre-season is building on your fitness but now we are approaching the start of the season we need to be at our best.

“We played some good football today and we played a good side so I’m happy with the game and our trip to France.”

He continued: “The progression has been very good especially with the new manager coming into the club, and he’s doing a great job with us so the future looks incredibly bright.

“We know what the manager wants and we will give everything in training and in the games, so we will keep working hard back at the Academy of Light before playing Borussia Dortmund.

“The new season has come around quick and that game will be a good test for us ahead of Manchester City in two weeks.”
