Austria: Chilled out Cats

Following three intensive training sessions in the Austrian heat the Lads took time to chill out.

But probably not as you’d expect…

After strength and conditioning workouts and sprints in temperatures exceeding 28 degrees, the players made the short trip across the border to Czech Republic for a Cryotherapy session.

The Cryotherapy chambers, based in the town’s Aqualand waterpark, are used to aid the players’ recovery after intensive training sessions.

The chamber units can be as cold as -140 degrees and being subjected to these after a heavy work out enhances the muscular recovery by restricting the inflammatory process.

Earlier this year a Cryotherapy chamber was installed at the club’s Academy of Light and despite giving the team a frosty reception it was well received by the players!
